We are extremely excited to share the news and to show the world OUR FIRST WEDDING FILM! Life got a lot busier, and of course, even more interesting both for us and for our great friends Mike and Kate Duval from MKD Photography. We are expanding our horizons and coming together with a new company that will offer an amazing product of our teamwork – artistic wedding films. It is not a secret that both me and Kate are married to a pair of very passionate guys. This time their passion has gone far beyond photography (and us for that matter ) – they’ve got obsessed with creating videos, and ohhh boy, they get better and better at it! They capture the reality of the wedding day using the latest techniques and come back with amazing footage. Kate was our editor-in-chief for this film, and she absolutely blew our minds away with the work she did putting this piece together, her talent is Extraordinary! So, with the work still in progress, we all can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us. Please, give us your feedback, as while taking a new direction it is very important to know your opinions. Comments? Suggestions? Contact us!

Jeff+Meryl: Wedding at the Barn at Gibbet Hill

In the beginning of August we shot another gorgeous wedding at the Barn, and unlike last wedding season, this time we got super lucky with the weather. We were able to take full advantage of what the Barn has to offer and even did some crazy hiking up the hill to an old castle Meryl and Jeff, you and your wedding party were such troopers, thank you!!!

The day was filled with so many emotions, that going through pictures made me tear up again, and again…Meryl and Jeff chose to see each other before the ceremony, and being able to share that moment with them was incredible! It definitely set the tone for the rest of the day, and I have to admit, it was probably one of the most sincere and passionate “first looks” ever. They’ve cried, they’ve laughed, then they cried some more…oh, their love for each other is so exquisite! Check out the slideshow on the bottom of the post, it is the best proof

Steve+Maria: Boston Engagement Session

This summer we got to photograph another fabulous couple – Maria and Steve! After getting to know them a little bit better, we can hardly wait until their wedding day, even though it is right around the corner. There are so many things that I personally loved about them, that the thought of them becoming husband and wife makes me very very happy On to the pictures, enjoy!

It’s a Girl!

I’m very glad that during this busy wedding season I’ve been able to set some time aside for some maternity and newborn sessions. It is surely a new passion of mine, and I can’t get enough of those little feet, tiny fingertips, adorable smiles and the cutest wrinkles…

Michelle+Nicole: Little Princesses are 3 months old!

I can’t even start telling you how much I fell in love with these girlies 3 month ago, when I first met them. I could hardly wait until our next session, and I’m already looking forward to what’s ahead. This time I got tons of smiles, the most adorable faces and so much fascination! It was a pleasure meeting their gorgeous aunt, and realizing that I’m doing a lot better with telling them apart Take a look how much they have grown!

Alex+Maria: Larz Anderson Park Maternity Session

Not long ago while strolling the streets of Boston during “the day after session”, life as a family seemed to be just beginning. Nowadays Alex and Maria are on the happy path of parenthood, and we got together for the afternoon – to document this miraculous time in their lives, and to talk about babies, of course!

Phil+Jen: Harvard Club Wedding

Knowing how excited and happy our couples are prior to their weddings is one thing, but seeing and feeling it first hand on the day of is simply indescribable. I think it is one of those things about weddings that we love the most. Nothing compares to the pressure of the wedding day, truly – there is just so much to be stressed out about! But once the events of the day start slowly unfolding, somehow nervousness and tension transforms into an unconditional stream of joy and contentment…Phil&Jen, you know what I’m talking about, right? Your wedding was so charming and emotional, thank you for letting us into your world for the day, and for making us feel like guests. Just like we leave behind parts of ourselves in every image we take, each wedding we shoot creates a totally unique mark in our Team Yu memories. Things that I, personally, won’t forget are:

* Jen glowing ALL day, making it perfectly noticeable that it is the happiest day in her life

* Phil slightly nervous in his room prior to leaving to the church

* Jen’s Dad visiting the groom with that tiny funky bottle, and then making an appearance in the Bridal suite (with the same agenda)

* Hayden, Nolan and Cameron – the best trio of boys I think we’ve ever had! Constantly smiling and happily posing

* Phil’s dance with his mom – that was simply amazing!

* The way everyone screamed “tequila” during all of the group shots (who needs to say “cheese” nowadays, right?) Hilarious!

* The way you love each other…

Congratulations again, and enjoy the rest of your honeymoon!

Evan+Rachel: Medford Wedding

Most of you know by now that once the wedding season comes, it totally sweeps us, wedding photographers, off our feet. Occasionally, each of us gets one or two dates that would still be open, and we happily combine our forces with photogs-friends, shooting an event together.

Just a short while ago we got a chance to shoot a wedding for our dear friend Liz Wertz, who is a passionate photographer, an amazing mom of two gorgeous red headed angels, and simply, a sweetheart. Springstep Studios in Medford opened its doors for a fun-filled reception, and what a cool location for a wedding it is! We enjoyed spending the day together with you, Liz, and with the whole wedding party, thanks for having us! Here are some of our favorites from the day.

Sweet Baby Danielle: 8 days of perfection

Lately, as I’m doing more and more newborn sessions, I’ve come to realize how easy we forget all the little things that absolutely blow our minds when we just become parents. Tiny feet, the cutest skin folds, that skin color – babies lose many of these physical characteristics very quickly. Ahhh, those first days are just so precious! Was it only 4 years ago that I don’t remember nearly half of what was happening and how things were!? I’m so glad that I can still relive those moments, as I have tons of pictures to come back to, and whenever I do I’m still mesmerized – I couldn’t have asked for better memories for our family. Our world was completely different back then, and it all seems to be so far behind

When I came to meet Danielle, I fell in love with her right away. I instantly found myself attached to her, as she reminded me of our little Kristina! She was so wonderful throughout the entire session, and if I could summarize my feelings about this little angel and the session all in one, I’d say it was perfection. Pure perfection.

Congratulations to the proud parents, the three of you are just so adorable! Enjoy your little girl, she is a real treasure!

Baby Tyler: Boston Family Session

This wonderful couple made a debut on our blog two years ago, after we photographed their fun filled Irish wedding. We couldn’t be more excited to find out that they recently had a handsome addition to their family – little buddy Tyler. With Brian being a firefighter, I really wasn’t sure what to expect for the weather on the day of the session. See, it rained both during the engagement session and on their wedding day. I totally think that water is simply their element, or at least that is my explanation The weather turned out to be just perfect for the time of the shoot, and luckily it started pouring only right after, when I was on my way back home

It was so nice seeing Tyler’s grandma and grandpa again, as well as Kathleen’s sister who came to visit with her new baby boy Jack. I still can’t get over the fact that Tyler and Jack were born on the same day, just 3 hours apart! Unbelievable! Brian and Kathleen, congratulations again on becoming proud parents! It is an amazing journey, and we wish you joy and happiness every step of the way!
