Rhythmic Dreams: Cinderella

Anyone that has had a chance to meet our daughter knows how much she loves to dance and how flexible she is by nature. When I started looking for a good school that would give her a chance to do what she loves and hone and perfect the skills she already has, I have found Rhythmic Dreams. And I couldn’t be happier. Rhythmic Dreams has the largest rhythmic gymnastics program in the New England area and it is also a home to the Boston Cup – one of the largest international rhythmic gymnastics competitions in the United States. Athletes from more than 20 countries come to Boston every year to train, compete and of course, celebrate the joy and beauty of Rhythmic Gymnastics.

At the end of the school year students from Rhythmic Dreams put on a show for their parents and friends. And this year we (Tony and I) were among other parents eagerly awaiting for the curtains to swing open and watch our pride and joy on the big stage for the first time. Tony of course, being himself, brought our cameras with some fast long lenses to create some amazing memories for us. The show was spectacular! Watching these girls and boys on stage in a full scale professional production of Cinderella was pure pleasure. Many of them have and will become state, regional and national medalists. Knowing that each routine requires a high degree of precision and athletic skill, one can’t help but wonder how much time and effort actually goes into everything they do. Strength, flexibility, power, endurance are the results of their hard work, and this year all of the girls from a competitive team got qualified for the National Junior Olympics! We can’t wait to see Kristina be a part of the team and reach her potential with this amazing group of kids. Right before moving to the United States I was a part of a sports gymnastics team, and it just makes me so happy to see our daughter do what I once enjoyed doing myself. Sports is a huge part of my life, and I can’t live without it.

Girls, good luck to you in the future! Keep doing what you love, and never give up striving for more. You will achieve everything you dream of, because dreams DO come true, especially when they are rhythmic ones ;) !
